DESCRIPTION: Create a tropical downpour (hey, I do live in Queensland, Australia).

INSTRUCTIONS:

Save often as ufo until the final step.

1. Open your image. Save As so you are not working on the original.

2. Depending on the light in your image, use your EasyPalette / Style Gallery to apply some mood. I applied Season / Autumn. (In the above image I grabbed one of my rainbow photos and stuck it behind the hills and applied Autumn only to the landscape to match the sky.)

3. Effect / Creative / Particle Effect - click on the Advanced tab first and use the Wind Direction setting below. Then on the Basic tab, use the Background Blur setting. By doing it in this order you get an idea of how the blur will look through the rain. Adjust to suit if you wish.

4. Click OK / Apply Current Frame Effect to Image:

5. Sign your work. Object / Merge All to merge your signature with your document before framing. Frame to your own taste if you wish. Press F4 on your keyboard to bring up the Image Optimizer and save as jpeg.

Thank you for trying out my tutorial :). I trust you've enjoyed it.
