DESCRIPTION:
Apply a frame twice to make a double frame using PI's trace tool.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Open your image and resize if necessary.
2. Apply the following steps to make the frame:
a. Format / Expand Canvas - Click "Expand sides equally" and type in 50 (it's set big to accommodate the double frame).
b. Magic Wand / select the white area:
c. Right click / Border and apply the following settings:
d. Edit / Trace / Selection Marquee - go with the defaults and click OK
e. Path Tool - change drop-down box from Horizontal Deform to 3D Round:
f. Click the Material Gallery icon next to the drop-down box and choose your preset (I picked Gel).
g. Right click / Merge All
Repeat the above steps:
h. Selection / All
i. Selection / Border / Border: 25; Direction: Inward
j. Edit / Trace / Selection Marquee / OK
k. Path Tool - change drop-down box from Horizontal Deform to 3D Round
l. Click the Material Gallery icon next to the drop-down box and choose your preset or go with the same one you used before.
m. Right click / Merge All
Using Gel and the wood look (Realistic material presets - I lowered the ambience in the Material / Light tab to make the outer wood frame darker):
